Lee Ann Woolery Artist Talk
A PhD in Environmental Studies and an M.A. in Studio Art/Art Therapy, Woolery's artistic practice is both informed and inspired by her time doing field research. Drawing equally from the natural and material worlds, she makes complex and wondrous natural phenomena visible in a contemporary form of "landscape art" through painting, drawing and installation. Engaging with her art therapy background, she excavates the terrain of the human psyche, from the terrible to the sublime. Woolery is a MOCA A.I.R (Artist-in-Residence).
